Empowering Parents Empowering Communities helps children and families get the very best start in life.
Parents attend eight weekly two-hour 'Baby and us' sessions supervised by trained parent facilitators. During these sessions, parents learn strategies for improving the quality of their interactions with their child and increasing their confidence and efficacy in parenting.
Empowering Parents Empowering Communities is designed to support children’s social and emotional development.
The service helps parents learn a range of positive parenting skills, better understand children’s feelings, value effective parent-child communication, and build better, more resilient family relationships.
Empowering Parents Empowering Communities courses are highly interactive, offering an engaging and creative blend of small and large group discussion, role play, demonstrations, information sharing and reflection.

Families are recruited through St Stephen’s Children’s Centre, Liz Atkinson Children’s Centre, Loughborough Children’s Centre, and Jubilee Children’s Centre.
