Politicians visit LEAP
John McDonnell MP, Shadow Chancellor, and Andrew Gwynne MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, last week (7 March 2018) visited the Liz Atkinson centre and had some time to sit down with LEAP Director Laura McFarlane and LEAP Assistant Director Chris Wellings.
The two national politcians were joined by Councillor Jane Pickard and Lambeth council leader Lib Peck to look at the children centre facilities as part of a report into children’s services in England. They also observed a Stay and Play session, met local parents and talked to the media.

LEAP Assistant Director Chris Wellings said “It’s was great to welcome John and Andrew to Liz Atkinson today and tell them about the work LEAP is doing for early years in the community”.
