Volunteer for LEAP

Make a difference in your community with our flexible volunteering.

Could you support parents in Lambeth for a couple of hours a week?

Make a difference in your community with our flexible volunteering roles which fit around your life

We’re looking for parent volunteers, ideally with children under 5, who can support parents within Lambeth to get access to help and support. We're also really keen to hear from bilingual parents to support families who don't have English as their first language.  You’ll help families find the services they need and give them the confidence to attend LEAP sessions with their little ones.

Giving just one or two hours of your time a week can make a real difference.

Why volunteer?

You’ll be making a difference in your community playing a vital role in supporting families in Lambeth.

You’ll volunteer in a safe and supportive environment, run by parents for parents and we’ll support you every step of your volunteering journey.

Watch our volunteers tell their stories about what they've gained from volunteering

How we support you as a volunteer

We make volunteering easier for parents

  • Flexible volunteering. Most of your volunteering will take place during school hours and occasional weekends, and you can bring your little ones to most sessions.
  • We will give you full training and we will always be there to support you if you need it.  Each training session has a free creche, so you don’t have to worry about childcare while you train
  • Our volunteers say they have gained confidence, work-related skills and experience
  • You’ll get an opportunity to make friends within your community.
  • We’ll encourage you to use your own lived experience to support parents and families in your community.
  • We will give you travel expenses to help you get to sessions

What happens when I volunteer?

You’ll have between three and five 2-hour training sessions, depending on your role.  Then we’ll invite you to take part in activity sessions and speak to parents.
