Urgent Help

Council contact

If you or someone you know have been affected by coronavirus (COVID-19) Lambeth Council can help.

Call Gateway on 0333 360 3700, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm or email mycommunity@ageuklambeth.org

You or someone you know could need help if you:

  • do not have your usual support from friends, family or carers
  • have been asked by the NHS to stay at home for 12 weeks
  • are having money problems
  • are ill with coronavirus and have no access to food or prescription medicine
  • are a key worker

They can help in several ways. For example, getting you food or delivering your prescription medicine.

The Council has also produced a booklet of useful information and services to support Lambeth residents during Covid-19.

Gaia centre

The Gaia Centre is operating and accepting referrals for phone-based support for Lambeth residents who are survivors of gender based violence, including domestic and sexual violence. This includes supporting people to flee and find alternative accommodation if they want this.

Contact the Gaia Centre to make a referral or for a survivor to self-refer: 020 7733 8724 / lambethvawg@refuge.org.uk.

Lambeth Council has updated their guidance on violence against women and girls to include coronavirus information and support.

National Domestic Violence Helpline: 0808 200 247 / www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk. There are various ways to access confidential advice from the helpline and its number does not show on any itemised bill.
