Safer Families (Domestic Violence)

The Gaia Centre is operating and accepting referrals for phone-based support for Lambeth residents who are survivors of gender based violence, including domestic and sexual violence. This includes supporting people to flee and find alternative accommodation if they want this.

Contact the Gaia Centre to make a referral or for a survivor to self-refer: 020 7733 8724 / lambethvawg@refuge.org.uk.

If you are concerned about a LEAP family, please make direct contact with Thami, the Team Leader at Gaia (07741119886) or outreach workers Sian (07867462822) and Maria (07741119798). If a parent is in immediate danger encourage them to call 999, or call the police yourself.

Lambeth Council have produced a guide on Covid-19 and Violence Against Women and Girls. You can find information and resources, as well as details of where to find additional support on their website.

Another resource is the National Domestic Violence Helpline: 0808 200 247/ https://www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk/. There are various ways to access confidential advice from the helpline and its number does not show on any itemised bill.
